Nomadic artist, I sail across the azure wave of archipelagos to explore, island hopping, their similarities: soundscapes, consonances, profusion of sense. To the rhythm of the dugout canoe, my journey becomes an island symphony where the echo of the continents mixes from time to time.

This momentum even shaped my name, like waves on pebbles, "Y" indicating a spatio-temporal openness, "M" a musical connection with nature and "Aina", said in Malagasy language, meaning "life", common word or first name. My name then, Ymaïna, reflects my Ode to Life.
