Nomadic singer, I sail across the azure waves of archipelagos to explore, island hopping, what links them: soundscapes, consonances, profusion of sense. To the point that to the rhythm of the dugout canoe emerges an island symphony, where sometimes the echo of the continents is mixed. 

This journey even shaped my name, like waves on pebbles, "Y" indicating a spatio-temporal openness, "M" a musical connection to nature and "Aina", said in Malagasy language, meaning "life", common word or first name. In short, "Ymaïna" is a reflection of my Ode to Life.
